How long does each therapy session take?

Individual sessions are 45-50 minutes long. Couples sessions are 60 minutes long. While I encourage you to use your full time, it is YOUR time, and you can end session early if necessary. During times of crisis or especially difficult times, two sessions per week may be possible if needed.

How long will I need therapy?

This answer is dependent on many factors including your presenting problem, your other supports, and how much work you put in outside of session. Some people feel better within a few sessions, and some people choose long term ongoing therapy because they benefit from the support.

Do you offer sliding scale rates?

It is the belief at Wellness Initiative that therapy should be accessible to all people, regardless of access to health insurance. This is why we offer sliding scale rates. If you are in financial need of a sliding fee, discuss this during your free consultation.
